the last two weeks of the year normally sets the trends for my next year.
my new year generally starts just before xmas which means my focus is renewed and runs deep during the holidaze. this results in numerous all nighters and traditionally i have always designed something new and picked up a new technical skill during this heightened moments. this time around i seem to be picking up on influxdb for timed series analysis and more kernel internals.
i was messing around with our new v2 controllers and influxdb at the office when i could not take it anymore.
our workshop is in a large warehouse and it suddenly got abnormally cold like at about 4am in the morning. i could not take it any longer and started to look for what was different. i found that a wind breaking panel i had been playing around with earlier in the day had dislodged out of place and the draft was kicking in from behind the wall. i fixed this easily with a stable gun. then it quickly became nice a cozy.
all the time, i was working on the new v2 controllers and sending data to infuxdb, when i looked at my data later on in the morning, i realized that i caught myself getting cold and warm.
room temperature dropping rapidly is shown below using influxdb
the room temperature raising after i fix. the zero points are my debugging sessions
this is explained better below
